Although you can attack him by charging up and zooming after him, it's more difficult to land an attack this way, so it'll be quicker to just wait for him to rush at you, then pull a special attack. Be sure to tap it quickly because if you don't, Smith will send you a flyin'. Halfway into it, you'll have to quickly tap the strike button to send Smith flying into a nearby building. Focus evade just as he approaches you and press strike to start a combo. Smith will charge at you from afar in an aerial attack.
